The Sparrow King Black

by millard & Millard

i’m just sittin’ by my window

nice an’ breezy ‘cross my face

it’s so quiet you can hear the grass grow

just my style

this easy place

sippin’ lemonade ‘neath the shade tree

as the morning turns afternoon

nothin’ moves but a little honeybee

while i sing this simple tune

i’m just sittin’ here

killin’ my summer day

i’m just sittin’ here

killin’ my summer day

i watch the stars chase away the sunshine

dark skies tell secrets to the blue

no place i’d rather be than

between the crickets and the moon

i’m just sittin’ here

killin’ my summer day

i’m just sittin’ here

killin’ my summer day

i’m just sittin’ here

killin’ my summer day
